Fat Quarter Friday: Oblong Throw Pillow - EASY

This is a great first sewing project, and it's good for kids and adults! I made this cute oblong throw pillow in 5 minutes from one fat quarter. It's completed dimensions are 8.5"x20.5". I want to make some other fun pillows for our master bedroom, but my creative intellect only came up with this little beauty so far...
Materials:
1 fat quarter
poly-fil
needle and thread

Step 1: Iron your fat quarter and then square it up to be exactly 18"x21".
Step 2: Fold it in half hot dot style with the right sides together. Sew with a 1/4" seam around the three sides leaving a 4-5" wide opening along the long edge. Make sure you back stitch near the opening. Trim your corners.
Step 3: Turn the pillow right side out and stuff it as full as makes you happy. Using a needle and thread, close up the hole.
 You're done!
