These giant chewy cookies are to die for with toffee bits and chocolate chips. I got the recipe here and changed it up a bit.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 C flour
3/4 C wheat flour
1/2 t baking soda
1 C brown sugar
1/2 C sugar
1 egg + 1 egg yolk
2 t vanilla
1/2 C chocolate chips
3/4 C toffee bits (found next to the chocolate chips in the store)
Step 1: Preheat oven to 325. Mix the flour and baking soda in a bowl and set aside.
Step 2: In a separate bowl, cream sugars and butter. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth.
Step 3: Gradually add in the flour mixture and mix. Gently fold in the toffee bits and chocolate chips.
Step 4: Scoop out about a 1/4 C worth of dough and roll it into a ball. then rip the ball into two halves and stack them like so with the round ends both facing down. I guess this step helps the giant cookies spread out better or something, I don't really know, I just do what they tell me!
Step 5: Bake at 325 for 15 minutes on a greased cookie sheet. Don't over bake or they won't be soft and chewy!
