Other Bubble Quilts

I've had a couple people send me pictures of their bubble quilts that they've made and I thought it'd be fun to share them with everybody. It's always fun to see someone else's take on a tutorial, it keeps things interesting! If you're new to my blog, here's my tutorial so you can make your own bubble quilt! If you've made one and you'd like to share it, please send me a picture at skyler@awaitingada.com

This one is from Erin (I love the color scheme!)
This one is from Maria (who is selling them on her etsy page if you're interested)
Here's my grandmothers (The blanket that I based mine off of from my childhood memories)
This is my new one I'm working on with mini bubbles

and here's my original!

  1. Hello! What are the number of bubbles for a twin spread? Thanks!

    1. Rebecca, well, I've never made one for a twin bed, but here's my thought. A standard twin bedspread is about 40"x76", so if you're making the bubbles from my design (with a base square of 4.5") you can do 10 X 20 bubbles so that you have 200 total bubbles. This should give you a nice twin size blanket! I hope that helps!

  2. I just stumbled upon this! Thanks for linking to my blanket and thanks for the tutorial! I just made one for a family member's baby shower and sent all the ladies who wanted to try it to your page!

    1. For my mini bubbles I use a 3.5" base square and a 5" top square. Have fun!
