This is one of my grandma's favorite recipes that she's been making for 40+ years. She calls it easy peach cobbler, but I don't think it's particularly cobblery. It's more like peach cobbler and bread pudding had an affair and this is what happened. Anyway, it's really easy and you probably always have all this stuff around, so it's great for one of those "oh crap I need a dessert" times.
Ingredients:
1 C flour
1 C sugar
1 T baking powder
2/3 C milk
1 stick butter
2 cans of sliced peaches (don't drain them)
cinnamon
Step 1: In a bowl mix your flour, sugar, baking powder and milk. Set aside.
Step 2: Melt 1 stick of butter and pour it into a 9x13 pan. Pour the peaches, with their juice over the butter and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Step 3: Pour your flour mixture over the peaches and sprinkle again with cinnamon.
Step 4: Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
