These peanut butter brownies with a chocolate swirl (originally called peanut butter swirl bars, but I thought they were more akin to brownies) are yummy and pretty! I found the recipe over at The Mother Huddle, I didn't have some of the stuff, so I changed the recipe a little and they turned out amazing!
Ingredients:
1/2 C peanut butter
1/3 C softened butter
1/2 C sugar
3/4 C dark brown sugar (the original calls for regular, but I used dark)
2 eggs
2 t vanilla
1 C flour
1 t baking powder
1 C chocolate chips
Step 1: Cream together peanut butter, butter, sugar, and brown sugar.
Step 2: Add eggs one at a time and mix well, then add vanilla and mix again.
Step 3: Add sifted flour and baking powder and mix well.
Step 4: Spread mixture in a greased 9x13 pan and sprinkle your chocolate chips on top.
Step 5: Bake in oven at 350 for 3 minutes then take out. Use a knife to swirl the chocolate chips into a pretty pattern.
Step 6: Put it back in the oven and bake for another 20 minutes if you want them chewier and 22 if you want them a little less so.
